So sorry to hear that. I have stuttered all my life. I am in my 50s and I have just learnt to embrace it and stop feeling embarrassed about my stutter. sometimes people are shocked when I say I have a stutter. I have never used any medication but I find breathing is a massive issues. Once I learnt to breathe deliberately before speaking and starting slowly, I gained increased fluency during speaking. I also had to work on my self esteem and confidence. Most importantly I had to stop feeling embarrassed about stuttering and instead embrace it as part of who I am. Hope this helps
