Is it this hard to make friends in college or is it just me?

Is it this hard to make friends in college or is it just me? I’m going into my 4th semester in college, and so far I haven’t made any friends. The first two semesters were online because of the pandemic, so that didn’t help. On top that, I have a stutter, so it’s hard to talk and meet new new people, but I’m really trying. Today a guy in my speech class gave a presentation over a videogame that I happen to like. After class was over I approached him to tell him that his presentation was really cool, but as I was getting closer and practicing what I was gonna say I just kept getting stuck mid sentence. So I passed him and kept on walking like nobody’s business. Any advice?
