Hey, first off I just wanna really thank you for taking the time to write all of this, it's amazing. But yeah, I just started school, the third week of classes begins tomorrow. A good group of friends is really what I'm looking for, I'm come to terms with the fact that I'm just not socially outgoing unless I'm really close with a person. It sucks because I left a good amount of really solid friends back home, but I guess at the very least I know I have it in me to make friends. I really like the open door suggestion, I think I'll try playing some music one day (not too loud of course) and see if anyone wanders in. I met a decent amount of people through "frosh" events and by being around the city/in classes but I feel like the campus here is so large that one really has to make friends with the people in their residence to have that sustained connection. I hope I can meet some friends like yours haha, I'm a science major myself (undeclared) and I agree that all it really takes is one connection to open a lot more doors. Honestly things aren't going too bad, I think my low point was Friday when I wrote this post, but I am optimistic. Once again, thanks a lot for writing this, I'll try everything you mentioned and maybe followup if things go good :)
