Mine has gotten better with time... I had a severe stutter resulting from a traumatic event at the age of 5. Years in speech therapy without effect. I think the negative impact of my stutter peaked in secondary school (middle school in the US?) - those years were a nightmare, especially reading out loud in class, people making fun, whole lot. It would come up every now and then during adulthood, especially during presentations or interviews. Right now I'm 27 and my stutter is basically nonexistent, when it slips out I tend to pause and continue.
