No people who stutter probably have more of a emotional callous to bullying, rejection, humiliation and prejudice than your average person. It takes grit to overcome a disorder as well as creating a mental frame in which bullshit from other people because of stuttering is aggressively stomped out or ignored. I'd argue that most younger stutterers are probably more fragile because they haven't built the callous yet. You build the callous in your early teens as well as through your 20's. But definitely older stutterers (30+) really don't give a shit if people hold bullshit views on them. They'll probably just ignore it.
