I don't know what grade you're in but if it's an option for you (and if you're interested in it of course), joining the school band is a great way to get some "free" friends. The band is more like a family. Most of my favorite memories of middle and high school came from being in the band. I'm in college now and really kicking myself for not joining the band at my college. I might try to next year if possible.
