Does anyones stutter randomly vary in severity? I'm in my late 20s now and have stuttered since I was a kid, maybe since 7-8 years old I think? It was horrifically bad as a teenager and then I think it decreased a little bit from 17/18 onwards, but still very noticeable depending on the day/situation. But it's just so so aggravating that it's a dice roll as to whether I can communicate without any or only minor slipups, or whether every second or third word is such a struggle, to the point I can't even communicate a simple sentence. Like some days, you wouldn't think I'd ever have a stutter, or at most a random minor slip up which litterally every single person does. Other days, I'll struggle through not even being able to string together 3-5 words, it just feels so defeating. What's irritating, is that my stutter is more of a "block" for words beginning with specific letters (usually B, D, S), or the opening letter will be dragged on (usually S's) until the word counts out. So when it happens, it's super noticeable, rather than say just a repeated word etc. In my entire adult life I've only ever known three others who had a stutter too, and they all said the same thing, that some days are wonderful, and others they might as well just hide in a corner and not bother talking :/
