I understand where you're coming from /u/darkspacemonster I've been in your position a lot of times, and I know it does suck to sometimes lie in order to avoid the embarrassment that you might anticipate. But, trust me, it's better to just stutter than lie. I say that because personally, in the long term, I feel worse about lying than stuttering. It's great that you have accepted it, and tried to openly stutter than taking the easy way out, but except this, have you implemented any other techniques? I think accepting is good as it makes you more confident, but it isn't enough to improve.
