Well I actually said to him, "She could very well have been anxious/discouraged, you just don't know that." From what he described, just the fact that she gave the whole speech meant she wasn't discouraged, in his point of view. She could have walked away thinking "Man I totally butchered that, stuttering all over the place," but who knows. Does raise a lot of interesting questions about different perspectives.
