A big breakthrough for me was not identifying speech as “bad” or “good” as this just kept me in the trap of trying not to stutter causing more stuttering. Instead I switched to how many minutes of the day am I thinking negatively about stuttering? How can I switch that to curiosity. With the help of meditation, acceptant and commitment therapy, support groups and psycadelics I brought down the fearful thinking and negative labels around stuttering and I’m now much more true expressive self.
