Great book. Recommend it to everyone. I dont know how much logotherapy is used today but the example you gave I think is mostly on point. I havent heard of paradoxical intent, but Joe Sheehan spoke about the approach-avoidance problem of stuttering. We want to talk and share, but we dont want to stutter. I think this is a big part of why our stuttering trips us up so much. By not fearing stuttering and wanting to always avoid it and instead telling yourself to just "stutter the shit out of it", you're doing the thing you fear the most and learn that it's not such a terrible thing. I dont think that it'll stop all stuttering, but that's not the point. You shouldnt stutter the shit out of it to stop stuttering, you should do it so you can accept it as part of you, which is it whether we want it or not. But it doesn't have to be crappy and painful. It can just be there without all the emotional baggage.
