Talking while jogging I believe that a lot of people in this group are quite young. I have an idea that I can’t really test out myself as I’m older and my knees don’t take well to running anymore. I was wondering if it’s possible to stutter while talking while jogging at a reasonably fast pace where you’re forced to take full deep breaths. For some reason, I have a hard time imagining someone stuttering while they’re jogging. I thought of this because I actually feel that learning how to swim at a really late age (40s) helped my breathing a lot and helped reduce my stutter greatly. It took me many years to learn how to swim because I couldn’t breathe. Actually, it took me many years to learn how to relax enough in the water in order to take full breaths, and I feel like this new found breathing ability carried over to my everyday life. I would swim breaststroke (very badly) for an hour nonstop, taking deep rhythmical breaths. I always had shallow breathing and swimming gave me a new way to breathe deeper for an extended period of time. Was wondering if any people in this group would be up to testing this jogging theory out and reporting back. Or perhaps already have experience with this? If it works, it might help some of you who are extremely frustrated and are willing to try anything. Could prove to be a good social outlet. Actually, now that I think about it, in today’s world, you don’t even need to find a running partner. Just use headphones and call someone.
