I posted this on a thread asking for advice about an upcoming phone interview. I also agree with whoever said be upfront beforehand about your stutter. Anxiety doesn't cause stuttering, but it does amplify it. I'm older than you and have stuttered badly in every face to face interview, but not as badly in phone interviews. - I don't know the extent of your stutter but my advice is prep, prep, and more prep. The advantage of a phone interview is you can use notes as prompts, and even read from them, without the interviewer knowing. That will at least stop your brain from freezing up if/when you begin to stutter. The first question is usually "why do you want the job?", or similar. Write out the answer and recite it over and over to get used to the words. Giving a confident first answer will give you a positive rhythm to continue. The rest of the questions will be related to the job description. Research the role thoroughly to try and guess what they will ask, and the person they want. Again, use notes as prompts to keep your brain on track. Buy some bach flower remedies to settle the nerves beforehand. And remember to breathe. Don't rush into an answer. Take a breath first to centre yourself.
