Though I support decisions that lead to improvements in overall happiness (including hormone replacement therapy for the purpose of changing gender), obviously this particular route is not one most here take to relieve their stutter. For constructive discussion however, is it possible that the emotional changes and fluctuations involved had a big part in your substantially improved fluency? For example, do you think differently before you speak, place less weight to words and more on communication, speak with more expression, etc.?
