But it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Just treat them normally. waiting patiently, looking comfortable even if they are struggling are really the best things. From my experience girls can be a lot more sensitive than guys to listener reactions but it sounds like your doing the right things and yes having people trying to guess your words isnt helpful and gets frustrating.
