I don’t agree with the first lines. He is not playing the victim, he IS a victim of abusive parents. He is completely right in acknowledging that in order to heal from the trauma they caused. And he has every right to be angry about it and it’s healthy to let it out. I spent years neglecting my parents role in my stutter and my relationship with them only grew in resentment, life and stuttering got worse and only delayed the internal work. I wish I recognised I have been a victim way earlier instead of hiding it.
