Hey fellow stutterer! I cannot describe how passionate about aviation I am. And how many times my stuttering made me cry. Knowing that I love aviation and I am supposed to be up in the air, but at the same time it felt unachiavable. Seeing soo many people on Tik Tok going and passing interviews even for flight attendants while all of my flight attendant interviews were unsuccessful. I remember leaving my aeromedical assessment when I was told I’m unfit mainly due to my stutter. I was alone at the bus station crying my eyes out. I don’t even have enourmous blocks in my speech. I think I’m understood in 95% of the times without the need to repeat. Yet, the aviation psychologist wrote awful report about me which was concluded with the sentance: “it is my opinion that stuttering has a negative impact on flight safety”. Even for the flight attendant position. Honestly, to wrap it up. Even if I don’t become a commercial pilot, I would be more, more than grateful to be a flight attendant. Soo, if you want to DM, I’m curious about your aviation journey. :)
