This used to be crippling for me when I was in school. My name is difficult to pronounce (and I always get a bad block on it when I try to say it). The first day of school when teachers asked me to pronounce it for them was always the worst. I remember teachers asking me, "did you forget your own name?" It was the worst and I'm still a little bitter about grown adults working as schoolteachers being so god damn insensitive.
