The programwas mainly exposure. The first half of the program was talking to as many random people as we can on campus, on the streets, everywhere. We had a select number of surveys we had to give every day. The beginning of the second week is tallying which is stopping after every single block and stutter and making a tally mark on a little notepad. This made it easier to realize all the little tics and feelings when a stutter is about happen. Finally, they tought us the techniques. Its mainly prolongation and pull-outs but after all the exposure and tallying you feel more confident to practice your techniques around strangers. Even though my stutter came back, i definitely less anxious having to talk to people. Before, I would dodge it ever chance I had but now I talk when I need to and just move on without thinking about it too much. My problem is I haven't really practiced because once i got back, i didnt have many people to talk to and I didnt really feel like I needed to practice anymore but damn was I wrong. Isolation is the worse thing for a stutterer.
