McGuire vs HCRI vs SLP I just joined this community and appreciate all the information on here. My son who is about to turn 12 stutters. It's starting to affect his self confidence and he wants a fix. I know there isn't one after reading through lots of post here. It does sounds like McGuire and HCRI have helped some and also seems that McGuire is more favored than HCRI. Questions for any of you, do you think he's too young to start a program like this? Do you think they are effective programs that a 12 year old could benefit from? He has been in speech therapy since 3rd grade in school, but it's not intensive and he may meet with his speech therapist about once a week for 15 minutes. He also attended the Lang Institute in Austin at UT and they were very supportive and helpful too. Thanks for any advice.
