Stuttering is a really random and weird thing... I've been stuttering ever since I was a little boy. I'm now 20 years old. I noticed these things about MY stuttering. (Everybody has it different) I find my stuttering completely random. I do consider my stuttering.... it's like i don't even stutter... to mild... to I don't even want to talk right now. - When I talk to myself out loud I'm completely 100% fluent. - When I sing I'm completely 100% fluent. - Caffeine and sugar makes my stuttering go from 0 to a 100 real quick. - Not enough sleep makes my stuttering go from 0 to a 100 real quick. - Usually anything that effects my brain will cause my stuttering to be either slightly worse or really bad. I'm talking about drugs, alcohol, supplements, etc. - I stutter more around my parents than other people. Most likely because I unconsciously let my guard down. Now... When it comes talking to people I believe it's all a mental game. Even though I consciously may think x person is not intimidating what so ever... my unconscious mind may think otherwise. It's really hard to explain how it works because it seems really random from what I've noticed. I'm a relationship type of guy so I don't really have small talks with random girls just to hook up. I don't have experience in that. I've been on more than a few dates and no girl has ever noticed my stutter. Because the truth is... I barely EVER stutter around woman for some reason. I just don't. I'm not sure why but thank god right? I can have a full on conversation without stuttering even once. Now... When it comes to guys... I actually have a hard time talking. Simply... I usually don't ever stutter when talking to woman, but I DO have a hard time talking to some males. From my experience. My TYPE of stuttering is not consistent and very random. For me personally... the way i reduce my stuttering by a lot is... 1. Go to sleep early. I usually try to go to sleep at around 8-9 PM. I learned if I stay later than 1 AM... it gets worse. 2. Watch what you eat. Completely eliminate sugar and caffeine from your diet. 3. Occasionally drinking and rolling up a Mary Jane is fine as long as you don't do it every day. I remember going all out for 3 days just burning and drinking with barely any sleep. Guess what happened? I couldn't even say a sentence. No joke. 4. Exercise. 5. No video games. 6. You have to have a positive mood. Be happy, completely forget that you stutter. It helps. If you have any questions just ask. But like I said. Everybody who stutters has it different. It's a weird fucking problem we have. Random as fuck. Everything that i said is not 100% on point for ME personally. Although these findings are usually consistent... my stuttering is still random sometimes.
