Ah I understand. I've never gone up and spoke to a girl I didn't know. I've started random conversations with people but never approached anybody with the sole purpose of getting their number so I'd probably be just as nervous on that. As shitty as they can be, maybe try tinder or plently of fish or something. That way you get to know them a little first so introductions are taken care of
