"before i answer that, i would just like to let you know that i do have a speech impediment so will probably need some extra time to answer." just say that after the first question (assuming you havnt had any major blocks up to that point, otherwise explain it right after the block) and you are golden. You have shown that 1) you are up-front and honest with your (hopefully) new co-workers 2) that you are aware of their potential reservations 3) that they do not have to do much to accommodate your disability; 4) that you are not nervous due to being ill-prepared An even better tactic (posted after this so you may have read it by now) is to call up HR let them know before the interview so they can prepare the interviewer. I would still give the disclosure at the start encase they didnt get the message but it still seems like a solid plan to me. Think of it this way: you have a disability. If you had trouble walking, instead of trouble talking, they wouldnt *care* but they would need to know to make accommodations. this is the same thing. EDIT: However, if AFTER you have disclosed this information and need to break into song or accent to get out a *single* word or phrase then go for it.
