You need to accept that stuttering is part of who you are. You are who you are today because you stutter and nothing will change that. But that's not necessarily a bad thing either. I like to think of my stutter as something like an "asshole detector". While it might take a nonstutterer some time to recognize a jerk, I only need a few seconds haha. I don't know you but I'm the kind of guy who feels more comfortable with things after doing some research. I recommend reading books about stuttering and familiarizing yourself with the subject.
