the detailed feedback is what I was referring to. Getting a "C" on the W pronunciation doesn't tell you how to improve it. Should I round my lips more? Increase the height of my tongue? There's probably a way to provide more descriptive feedback. But all of this depends how you're deciding accuracy. Rating the phonemes independently isn't really meaningful, imo. You should really focus more on syllables rather than phonemes. The timing piece might make more sense in a language where duration is phonemic. But in English duration is meaningless phonetically. It adds suprasegmental information, but there's little included in phoneme duration that's going to be helpful in increasing the listener's comprehension.
