First of all, just soak this in - you are NOT the problem, the problem with those who are laughing. You are an inspiration and stronger than anyone around you - KNOW THAT! Do not stutter but I had (probably still have) dyslexia where I attended a learning disability school and there were students who also stutter (I'm not saying stuttering and learning disabilities are connected) and the teachers in that school taught to not be ashamed that I have some learning issues or let that hold me down - and I'm sure the teachers would say the exact same to those who stutter. Ironically, I married a woman who did stutter also when she was 5 and she told me it was very severe - she hated to talk in school or anywhere else. She told me, after years of speech therapy, her stutter was "better managed" sometime before graduating high school - and she told me that the key is to embrace herself. She accepted that she will stutter all of her life but she went out into the world for her to conquer and never letting her speech hold her back! I'm married to a strong, determined, passionate woman - who takes shit from no one ;) My wife still stutters - there are days when it's barely noticeable and there are days where it's still tough and exhausting - but still keeps on living her life. You are still young but I promise if you just accept that you stutter as part of you - you're life will be rewarding and beautiful! You are in control not your speech :)
