Went to a skating rink with some colleagues as the only guy

Went to a skating rink with some colleagues as the only guy TLDR; Feeling good, watched a video on mindfulness which is helping. Went to a social event I ended up enjoying. Unsurprisingly I'm pretty wary of social events to begin with but on top of that I was the only dude going, so double the pressure. Honestly I was kinda dreading it but it turned out to be a really good time. I used to rollerblade when I was younger so I got used to skates fairly quickly. My colleagues on the other hand struggled a fair bit. But with a stroke of luck, I managed to give them a few pointers 'clearly,' which really helped them in the end. On top of just generally feeling good, I watched a video on the negative effects of mind wandering which changed my perspectives on a few things. I've noticed when I stop unnecessarily thinking about other things and just focus my mind on what's happening, it's easier for me to express myself. Like anything, I'm still practicing not letting my mind drift into negativity or useless thoughts. There's more to it but just thought I'd share my positive experience.
