Yup I agree, most of it is in our heads. If it was all physical it would be much easier to deal with. It's good to give advice but *most* people on here will have a negative reaction to this post. It's great you're trying to help, but equally understanding that everyone is on their own journey is something that I've had to learn too. The truth evidently is that everyone who has learned to live with their stutter has had to go through a similar process to this. Many people just aren't a place in their life where they can do this. For a lot of people when they see posts like this their first thoughts are "Another person saying 'just get over it'". I think finding a balance of understanding and trying to motivate and help others is the only way to support other people who stutter. :)
