It's the opposite for my fiancé. She was born and raised in Mexico and her native language is Spanish and she stutters more in her native language. But she stutters much less in English and a little Polish (I'm from Poland) and she said it's because she's more "filtered" when speaking another language whereas in her native tongue - her stutter is more 'visible'.
