So happy to have found this I developed a stutter after a bout of serious neurological illness two and a half years ago when I was 25. The doctors never really figured out whether it happened due to illness/injury or the psychological distress from the incident and I've struggled with the fact I've never had a solid answer ever since. I only recently started using Reddit and I just wanted to say I'm really glad to have found this subreddit, seeing the similar experiences of others has given me a lot of comfort. It also makes me feel less crazy for getting frustrated all the time haha
