My dad used to yell at me for stuttering when I was little, no matter who we were eating with. he was kind of crazy when he was a young man and definitely needed mental help himself. It sucks; I know how it feels. I would just stop speaking after that kind of comment. Don't take it personally; it's her not being able to live a happy life herself, so she takes it out on you.
