I take anti-depressants and haven't noticed any changes in my stutter. They also dull your emotions and the dizziness you get when you forget to take a pill isn't fun. You'll be looking at four weeks at least before the withdrawals tail off, should you decide it's not for you. I'd say if you're otherwise healthy it's not worth it - though either way, talk to your doctor first.
