I'd define being social as saying 'yes' more to the social opportunities given to you. Saying yes to outings/linkups from friends, to family BBQs, volunteer opportunities and saying yes to ourselves for when we think about reaching out to someone but then deciding against. Part of it, is having a "let's see where this goes" or "this could be fun", whimsical mentality. And I think everyone, stutterer and non-stutterer have a problem being social. We have a problem creating social opportunities or prolonged social interactions, particularly with strangers. Or moving people from acquaintances to friends, to good friends. As you get older, it's harder to make new friends, because most people have zero conversational skills when chatting up a stranger. It's also the fact that adults are less trusting, and it takes a really long time to become good friend with ppl.
