Not giving a shit is the best tool for getting the upper hand on one's stutter. At some point in my 20s I stopped caring if I stuttered in front of people, or if they thought less of me when I did. Almost like magic my stutter began to fade, because I was no longer anticipating it and was instead was just letting the words flow. I think all stutterers would agree that over-thinking things is our biggest problem, but the tricky part is turning that off, and not giving a shit is what worked best for me. In any case, best wishes for a happy and fluent 2014!
