Precision Fluency Shaping Program Hey /r/stutter! Hope everyone's been doing well. I want to pass on some information that I'm surprised hasn't been shared on this subreddit before. In Norfolk, Virginia, based in the Eastern Virginia Medical School, there is a speech therapy program that has changed my life. This program is the Precision Fluency Shaping Program and is an intense, twelve day speech boot camp that almost eliminated my stutter when I first came out. I have had a pretty severe stutter my whole life. Along with the usual problems like "forgetting my name" and being unable to present in front of an audience, my stutter affected me in every other aspect of my life. My social life, education, and to some degree my family life were crippled by my stutter. If you guys want to see results, look into this program. They have a website as well: fluentspeech.com A word of warning though... The first time I went I failed. Immediately after the program, my speech was fantastic, but I relaxed and refused to do the exercises every day. After some time, I had to go back for a refresher program that got me back on track.
