Thank you very much for your deep explanation. Hindu, as a religion, sounds very moral( ethical). It seems that people are good for its own sake, not to gain a reward or avoid punishment (burning in hell) as Christians believe. I really like that. That’s what I believe. I’m a Humanist. We believe in the inherent goodness of man. Do you know that there are approximately 2,000 religions currently practiced worldwide? Each believes theirs is the only path. It doesn’t sound like Hindu believes that, though. Your family sounds fortunate with education and social status and prosperity. They’re casts then? About your eventual marriage, it appears that you choose your spouse and that you have values, that you consider the totality of traits of your spouse. She must be your spiritual, social and intellectual equal. That’s so important, especially when children are involved and extended family must be considered. I married an amazing man and i was married for 54 years. We married when he was a Naval officer, a jet pilot. After retiring, having 2 advanced degrees, he changed careers to finance. He was never embarrassed that I stuttered. He always presented me proudly in social venues. I miss him dearly. We’ll communicate later. It must be 5:30 in your country, your location within your country. and I need a nap. I didn’t sleep well last night. Until then, Fondly, Sue
