How to speak more clearly? Stutterer here. A habit I developed over the years is I mumble my words. I don't stutter that much in public unless im nervous. But as precaution in case I do stutter, I talk soft spoken and quietly. Just not speaking up. At first I was thinking people just didn't hear me, but its become clear I mumble and slur my words here and there. At least once a day a co-worker would not understand me making it awkward repeating myself. I asked my brother if I mumble and he told me sometimes but he still understands me because hes so used to it. Another random quirk I have sometimes I can't pronounce the "r" in words. Instead a "w" would replace it. It was really bad in elementary school but still once in a while it'll slip up. For example instead of saying "hilarious" I would say "hilawious". Any exercises you guys would recommend? I decided to read out loud 5min a day. But if there's anything else you guys suggest I would greatly appreciate it.
