So at the start of any interview, I say “also I do have a stutter, you don’t need to worry but I will pause or get stuck on some words. I would just appreciate some patience with me during this interview, but that is all!” If it’s a zoom interview, I’ll say “by the way I do have a stutter so if my face pauses or freezes, it isn’t the video connection it’s just me.” And it’ll get maybe a little chuckle but it makes the stutter known and lets them know I have a sense of humor so they don’t have to be uptight.
