Thanks for your response. I'll avoid practicing fluency, but I think this is where my lack of experience with stuttering really shows; I believed this is what his SLP would work on with him. I guess it's really important for me to pick the right SLP, but I've only been able to secure one in my area; many others are not taking new patients at this time. I'll have to go with my only option, but are there some red flags I should look out for? If the SLP is doing more harm than good, how would I know, and when would it be appropriate to pull my child out of services?
