If you feel comfortable, it might be worth asking your parents if you ever stuttered as a very young child (too young for you to remember, possibly). I'm a speech-language pathologist who works with adult stutterers, and I've had patients whose childhood stuttering was "cured," only for it to suddenly resurface out of the blue many years later. There are many ways a speech-language pathologist can help you manage this new onset of stuttering, and the NSA recommended below is another great resource. Speech therapy can be expensive, but if there is a local university with a speech pathology program, they may have a more affordable options for you.
