Do you stutter less when you're speaking another language?

Do you stutter less when you're speaking another language? My wife is trying to learn some Polish. I am Polish, she is from Puerto Rico (her native language is Spanish) we communicate in English but she also wants learn some Polish to communicate someone of my family members who only understand Polish - and perhaps if we have kids\* it'll be ideal if they can speak English, Spanish & Polish. Another reason why my wife wants to learn another language is to help her with her stutter. My wife has been stuttering since she was 5. When she speaks in her native Spanish - her stutter is a lot more noticeable. When she speaks English - her stutter is a little less noticeable. I don't know if this is scientific or not (everyone's different) but does anyone here who stammer stutter less when speaking another language? \*although my wife is amazing with kids and loves them - she is somewhat hesitate of actually having them because of the genetic composition of her stutter (her dad and niece both stutter as well).
