I have no more issues with the phone; I actually enjoy it now. (Here's what I did) I bought a used office telephone from Ebay and I practiced every day for months. I practiced making phone calls and receiving phone calls. I would conjure up scenarios and act those out over the telephone ☎️. (Here's what all that hard work did) It made it boring. No longer did the ring of the phone put me into a state of shock, anxiety and fear. No longer did I have heart palpitations when dialing the phone. After months of daily practice, the whole process became boring THEREFORE it rewired my brain to think that way. When it came time to put this boring task into action..........there was no anxiety, fear or shock.......it was just boring. I also do this with my name, phrases I can't say, etc.... make it boring and you'll be amazed how it affects your stutter. (Sidenote) This takes extreme discipline and motivation 💪 to do this daily for months. This is HARD WORK but it paid off at the for me.
