Personally, it depends on the situation. If I make it clear I would like the assistance to finish the word or the person does it in a kind manner then thats hunky dory. The times it bothers me when someone finishes my word because theyre clearly being impatient with me. This answer will differ per person, but I would not say its a bad thing to feel OK with people helping you to finish words.
