You stand just as much of a chance as the next person. I know what you're saying, I see that too. "Excellent communication skills both oral and written" and it might be for a job like catching chickens in a barn. Every single job asks for this. And reality is that most people who get the job will have average skills. Just because we stutter doesn't mean we don't have great communication skills. Our vocabulary skills, listening skills and conversation skills are often superior to those of people who don't stutter. Just be comfortable and confident with how you speak. I know, easier said than done, but its something we can work at every day. Don't beat yourself up after you stutter. The people you talk to, 99.9% of them don't care at all about the stutter. I think about immigrants with thick accents who can speak English fluently but people have a hard time understanding them. I never see them act embarrassed or apologetic about how they speak. So why should we?
