Like, if in US your local counseling center might offer IOP services which I don't think you NEED a mandatory 72hr stay to be referred. Sometimes these are for people discharged from psych or detox so the whole program isn't applicable to victims but it's 2-3x week, you'd get to vent and many insurances and towns have the ability to get you a ride to appointments.  When I was under 25 and my family was shitty and I didn't even have a car taking public transit to the youth center was freeing even though it was also terrifying to my anxiety.  Also if you are of working age and need money FAST as evil as amaz0n is they hire virtually everyone within a week from your application. They didn't treat me like a person but that wasn't because of my disability it was because I was basically a number.  When I worked at amaOn there was a kid with OCD who had to rotate boxes just so before he walked away from the pallet. He also stuttered and people made fun of him ruthlessly. He was a sweet kid and I would bust in to defend him regularly and put myself between him and the dumbest bullies because I was so salty at that point in my life and didnt need the job because it eas not ideal. I told him to tell people to get lost and not to be shy about using profanity to do it in a warehouse environment. Initially people thought it was funny but after a while legitimately left him alone and some of the more popular female employees warmed up to him and also didn't "let" the same old jerks get him down.  If you are worried about getting a job with a stutter and don't mind retail try reaching out to the corporate offices for big name grocery stores, pharmacies etc. find their diversity department contact information about how to apply as someone who needs accomodations. The worst they can say is no but I know now it's less frustrating than trial and error seeing if the hiring manager is desperate enough to put up with the sound of my voice lol You did not ask about jobs but this is the advice I would give to any stutterer seeking independence from scratch. People in jobs will be like this sometimes. I work with someone currently who thinks it's ok to call me slow incessantly and I had to let HR know and put in detailed accomodations even at a job that does not require me to talk. All because people have nothing better to do but make fun of people just living their lives.  Stay strong and don't let the fools get you down in your own heart. Sarcasm helped me. Lol repeat back the shitty things they say to them I almost guarantee you sarcasm can increase fluency. In my experience I think it works for the same reason that miming accents helps some stutterers: I can think about what I say but I don't have to think about stopping to do that because I'm distracted by really coming back sassy to dumb comments.  I don't know what they want you to do with their comments like  how asinine any kind of criticism is likely to make you stutter more so it's like they just want you to be in the least ideal situation for fluency while telling you to be fluent. You definitely have every right to want to be away from this abuse and with time.... Don't feel like you need to speak out of anger but take a moment to say the bigger rhinf remember they are flawed and it's not on you to cure stupidity. If they don't get a reaction one would hope they might stop. If I can do it you can do it and I know that may not be comforting but you've got things to give the world and simply your own joy you deserve to feel.  Check out Drew Lynch or even non stuttering comedians videos where they are dealing with Hecklers that always helps me refill my sass-o-meter.
