Absolutely agree. Sometimes breathing will unblock the speech block that arises but not always. One has to then further locate the physical "sensation" that arises (mine is sort of in my throat most times, sometimes lower in the lungs, sometimes a bit up like a lot of noise in the brain). I also used to change words in my head to get around my stutter. That's not good. Now I just know I'm not going to change the word and struggle (without showing any ticks) with the speech block. Main thought that gets me through it "I really don't care what assumptions ppl make, because I AM a stutterer. They need to understand and deal with it". Again, it's not JUST about breathing.
