All right, military member here with a stutter. Have they told you that you need a waiver? Like have you been to MEPS and got shot down because you stutter? If not, just go through MEPS and do not say that you have a chronic stutter on the form. Yes, you stutter sometimes - so does everybody, but don't say it's a permanent feature of you on the form. Assuming you've been there and got shot down it's still ok - see if you can provide an audio sample (talk to your recruiter). What I did was I recorded the sample passage on a CD rom at home and sent it up the chain. The nice thing about that method is that you got as many tries as you want (I personally used the DAF app which was immensely helpful.) If you can't do that then good luck... you'll just have to talk to the doctor and try to come across as relaxed and normal as possible. Just do your best. One last thing, good ASVAB scores will help your chances. The army needs smart people. If you got a good head on your shoulders look into the DLAB; the military definitely can't afford turning down people who pass that test.
